Cagliari is the Sardinia's chief town, located in in the middle of Golfo degli Angeli, in the southern border of the island. Spreading along an area sloping down twords the sea, Cagliari is mainly a seaside town. The Poetto beach extends over 7 kilometers of finest sands, representing a unique natural wonder.

How to reach Cagliari and Sardinia...

Cagliari can be easily reached by plane, thanks to its modern international airport 5 Km to the city centre. Direct flights connect Cagliari to the major Italian towns (Rome, Milan, Turin, Florence, Naples, Bologna, Venice, etc.), and many European capitals (London, Paris, etc.). Other international connections are operated through the airports of Alghero and Olbia, located in the northern part of Sardinia and connected to Cagliari by buses and trains.
Sardinia can be also reached by ferryboats departing form Genova, Livorno or Rome.

Cagliari Elmas . Cagliari can be easily reached by taxi or by shuttle bus operated by ARST (link in italian). The shuttle bus departs at the following times:
08:45, 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30, 17:30, 18:30, 19:30, 20:30, 21:00, 22:10, 22:30 and 23:00
The trip lasts about 10 minutes. Tickets can be bought in the airport at 0,67 Euro, or aboard of the shuttle at 1,19 Euro. The bus stop in Cagliari is in Piazza Matteotti, that is the main bus station.
Alghero Fertilia . Cagliari can be easily reached renting a car or by bus through Logudoro Tours (tel. +39 079 281728).

Currency: According to the Monetary Union, the official currency is the Euro.
Banks: Banks are opened from Monday to Friday, from 08.30 to 13.30 and some of them again in the afternoon from 15.00 to 16.30. Banks are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Electricity: Voltage in Italy is 220 volts - 50 Hz. Foreign appliances could require an adapter.
